ProtoRace is a proprietary technology developed and owned by ProtoLabs and offered to Quack DAO under a commercial license for use in strict accordance with the agreed upon terms of service. ProtoLabs assumes no liability for any agreements or offers made by Quack DAO in the course of offering the game (or participation in the game) to individuals, projects, or other parties.

ProtoRace is non-custodial in nature and serves strictly as an independent user interface to the blockchain. While this eliminates the counterparty risk associated with more centralized products, it also places 100% of the responsibility for operating the dApp directly on the end user. Neither ProtoLabs nor Quack DAO can modify any of the transactions the user generates on-chain. Because of this, hosts and participants are urged to double-check any interactions with the blockchain through ProtoRace when sending prizes.

Regarding the potential for bugs - ProtoLabs' independent auditor is Certik, the top blockchain cyber security firm. In addition, resources are set aside to perform periodic audits. Still, no audit is perfect and cannot totally eliminate the possibility of an exploitable flaw. Again, hosts and participants are urged to take caution when using any blockchain application, including ProtoRace, as they are solely responsible for their actions and consequences.

Regarding counterparty risk ⎯ both ProtoLabs and Quack DAO have limited ability to influence or assure the ongoing performance of their partners, collaborators, or vendors. While both ProtoLabs and Quack DAO make every effort to vet their counterparties, neither entity assumes any responsibility for risks or losses resulting from any outside entity's actions.
